AdFarm Expands and Strengthens PR Capabilities With New Team Additions, Promotions

Ag-focused integrated agency expands operational dynamics

KANSAS CITY, Mo. AdFarm continues to develop its public relations roster with the hiring of Dan Kirkpatrick, a long-time PR strategist and agri-marketing veteran, and Neil Neumeyer, who comes from a background in corporate communications. Additionally, Dan Danford, an AdFarm PR account lead, has been promoted to team strategic lead.

These actions not only enhance the resources and years of PR experience the agency puts to work for its clients, it also represents a deeper integration of the discipline in everything it does, according to Bob Wilhelm, AdFarm vice president.

“The scope of PR is broadening and includes digital, mobile and social media — and it’s becoming more integrated with and connected to everything we do,” says Wilhelm. “So we’re structuring ourselves to thrive in today’s atmosphere. We’re adding the best experience and positioning our team to create and drive the best strategies for our clients.”

Dan Kirkpatrick has been hired as a senior public relations strategist and business development lead, with a special focus in Iowa. A marketing practitioner with 25 years experience, Kirkpatrick’s industry expertise ranges from production agriculture to the rural lifestyle market to the green industry.

Prior to joining AdFarm, Kirkpatrick worked for Osborn & Barr and Meyocks & Priebe in roles including senior public relations lead and strategic marketing communications counsel on a range of accounts in the agricultural equipment, seed and livestock industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science in agricultural journalism from Iowa State University, and will office in
Des Moines.

Neil Neumeyer has been hired as a public relations account executive. He has worked in multiple marketing communications agencies since 1998 and specializes in strategic public/media relations, cause marketing, event management and copywriting. For more than seven years he was the corporate communications manager at Bernstein-Rein.

Neumeyer graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.

Dan Danford has been promoted to strategic team lead. In this role, he leads the team for a group of client business -- providing strategic counsel and direction to effectively achieve clients’ business objectives, as well as concentrating on account growth and new-business opportunities. He is a veteran media relations and marketing professional with a strong background in agri-marketing and public relations.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in speech communications/public relations from Southern Illinois University.
