AdFarm does it again
Recognized as a Great Place to Work for the fourth year in a row

Calgary, AB (May 1, 2009) - For the fourth year running, AdFarm has once again been named one of the "Best Workplaces in Canada" for 2009. In addition, AdFarm is happy to announce that it ranked number four on the 2009 list of Canada's Best Workplaces for Women.

"We have built a culture where employees feel empowered to share ideas and work as a team, " says AdFarm CEO Nolan Berg. "Our agricultural values from the farm translate into the work place and, while we are honoured to be recognized, this is just who we are."

According to Berg, what separates AdFarm from other employers is its focus on agriculture and the values that brings with it. AdFarm employees are passionate about agriculture and this creates an environment where we work and play.

AdFarm is extremely proud to make the list of Canada's Best Workplaces for Women. For an organization to be eligible for this list at least 50 per cent of employees must be women and at least 50 per cent of executive positions must be held by women.

"Being recognized as a great place to work and one of Canada's Best Workplaces for Women in the same year is no small feat," added Berg. "This is an award in which all AdFarmers can take pride."

This year's list received over 230 nominations and approximately 30,000 employees participated in the 2009 "Best Workplaces in Canada" survey.

This list of "Best Workplaces in Canada" is compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from a 57-statement survey completed by every employee, along with their open-ended comments about their organization; the remaining one-third of the score comes from an in-depth review of the organization's culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures.

This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to the five trust-building dimensions of a Great Place to Work®: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
